Andrew "Tiedye" Ward Nourse

Andrew Ward Nourse of Woodside, California passed suddenly at home in

the early hours of October 20, 2025. He is survived by his wife of

fifty-two years, Patty Ann Hardy, his sister, Kim Nourse Clark, his

niece Katharine Thomson Clark & nephews William Van Alan Clark & David

Rittenhouse Clark and their children, his grand nieces & nephews, as

well as his sister-in-law Roseanne Hardy, and brother-in-law Daniel

Evans Hardy. Born on December 5, 1951 to Harvey Edward and Wynne Holden

Nourse in Beaver, Pennsylvania, he grew up in Haddam, Connecticut, and

graduated from Westminster School and from the Massachusetts Institute

of Technology. After thirty-four years as a software engineer at Digital

Equipment Corporation, FTP Software and Cisco Systems, he retired to

spend time with his wife & cats, making tiedyes, cooking & baking,

camping, hiking and mountain biking, travel, astrophotography, and

dancing at psytrance events. A creative, fundamentally kind person, he

will be missed by all who knew him.
