A memorial service is planned for Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 am. Gateway Church – 7104 McNeil Drive, Austin Texas 78729. (512) 837-2162. A pot luck Luncheon is planed immediately following the service.
Virginia was born on March 11, 1935 in Corning, New York to Kenneth A. Parsons and Anna F. (Daniels) Parsons.
Like her father, Virginia, was educated at Corning Free Academy where she focused her studies on English and literature.
She held several administrative positions throughout the years at Pacific Bell, NASA Ames Research , and the IRS until her retirement in 1997.
Virginia was an avid reader. She also loved to write short stories about her family and growing up in Corning. She had a wonderful command of the English language and a passion for crossword puzzles. She will always be remembered for her quick wit, beautiful handwriting and big heart.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Anna Parsons. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Richard Henderson, Sons Ted Champaign ( Carla) , Ken Champaign, daughter Mimi (Champaign) Klemm ( John), grandson Tim Alexander, sister Sally Jo (Parsons) Stookey (Bob) , nephews Dave Stookey (Phyllis), Steve Stookey (Rosslyn) several great nieces, a great nephew and many cousins.
When someone you love becomes a memory, those memories become treasure.
