Tyler Templer of Austin, TX passed away on August 31, 2023 at the age of 49. He was born on April 24, 1974 in Fort Rucker, AL but lived in Germany until the age of six when he then moved with his family to San Antonio, TX.
Tyler graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio in December 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. It was at UTSA where Tyler met his wife, Tanya.
After college graduation, Tyler moved to Austin, TX where he worked as a Software Engineer. Tyler and Tanya married in May 1999 and had three wonderful children, Riley, Haydn, and Nolan.
Throughout Tyler’s life he became known as being the best gift giver ever. He loved to play guitar and often held jam sessions in the house. Tyler was an avid Texas Longhorns fan and always looked forward to their football season. But he eventually had to find room in his heart for the Texas Tech Red Raiders once his two older kids attended school there. Above all else, Tyler adored his children. He was always so proud of them, and his face lit up whenever he spoke of them. Some of Tyler’s happiest moments were when he was watching his kids play sports and getting snuggles from them on the couch.
Tyler is preceded in death by his parents Terrell and Sharon (Fuqua) Templer and uncle Bob Fuqua.
Tyler is survived by his wife: Tanya Powell Templer; Daughter: Riley Templer; Sons: Haydn Templer, Nolan Templer; Sisters: Sami Saenz (Rene), Peri Hart (Chris); Niece: Sabrina Saenz; Nephew: Delton Hart; Uncles: Joe Templer (Sandy), James Templer, Jeff Fuqua (Eileen), Jim Fuqua; Aunts: Nancy Stockton, Renee Templer
