

Robert Loys Musslewhite (Bob) age 93 passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 in Georgetown Texas. Bob was born, May 13, 1927, in Midland, Texas but spent most of his life in Houston, Texas where he graduated from San Jacinto High School (1944) and then joined the Navy at 17 years old. After returning from the service he attended University of Houston and graduated in 1952 with a B.S. in Geology.
At the beginning of his career, he spent two years mining in Utah, Colorado and Nevada. Then he returned to Houston and worked as a geologist for Tidewater, Colorado Oil and Gas and he retired from Valero as a Vice President in San Antonio, Texas. He served as President of the Houston Geological Society as well as many other organizations. After retirement Bob spent many hours playing golf and traveling with his wife, Colleen.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, David Crockett Musslewhite, mother, Tommie Lee Musslewhite, son, Patrick Lee Musslewhite and great grandchildren, Cody and Brody Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen Musslewhite, children Susan Euresti, husband, Bill Cowan and Michael Lee Musslewhite, wife, Diane Musslewhite. Grandchildren include Robert “The Gar” Clark, Kristi Faulkner, Leanne Asaad, Michael Dominick Musslewhite and Michael Small plus eight great grandchildren.
Due to Covid, a celebration of life will be planned when the family can get together safely.
