

He was born on April 4, 1943, in Monterey, California to Philip George Toups and Pauline Josephine Stiles.
A proud American veteran, Philip Gerald Toups dedicated more than 21 years of active-duty service to the United States Air Force and United States Army. Rising to the rank of Sergeant First Class, he retired honorably in 1984 after a distinguished career marked by professionalism, leadership, and unwavering commitment to his fellow service members. His military service earned numerous awards and commendations, including the Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. His legacy of service, patriotism, and devotion to country will be remembered with gratitude and pride by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
While he took great pride in serving his country, his greatest pride and joy came from the family he loved and supported throughout his life.
Philip was preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Yong Toups.
He is survived by his son, Michael Toups; his daughter, Monica Yanez; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory and carry forward the values of honor, dedication, and love that he exemplified every day.
