Ollie was a graduate of Anderson High School in Austin, Texas, and a member of the Masonic fraternity. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 23 years. Following his military service, he worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 21 years. After retiring from the IRS, he moved from Inglewood, California, back to Austin, Texas, with his boys in 1991.
Ollie was united in marriage, and to this union five children were born: Clifford, Brian Lee, Michael, Gordon, and Audrey. Later in life, he adopted three of his grandsons, Andre, Antonio, and Bryan, embracing them as his sons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Louis, Verdell, Fredrick, Alvin, Jeanie, and Ruth; his daughter, Audrey; his sons, Michael and Gordon; and his grandson, Antonio, whom he adopted as his son.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Clifford and Brian Lee; his grandsons, Bryan and Andre, whom he adopted as his sons; three very special nieces who stood faithfully by his side, Semone, Heather, and April; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
As we honor Ollie’s life, we remember his years of service to his country and his place in the hearts of his family. His memory will live on through those who knew and loved him.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
