Mike O’Neill passed away peacefully at home with his wife, Sandie O’Neill by his side, on March 23, 2025.
Mike is preceded by his parents John and Doris O’Neill and his brother Richard (Dick) O’Neill.
He is also survived by his wife, Sandie O’Neill of Kyle, Texas; and his children, Karen Bodemann of Conroe, Texas; Brian Reilly and his husband Tim of Austin, Texas; Stephen O’Neill and his wife Diana of San Antonio, Texas; Sharon Patterson and her husband Gary of Austin, Texas; step children, Kreg Allred of Georgetown, Texas; Sonya Allred of Cedar Creek, Texas and many cousins.
Mike was a beloved Papa, Grandpop, Dedja and Pop to his eight grandchildren, Danielle Bodemann, Sara Bodemann, Nathan O’Neill, Aidan O’Neill, Regan O’Neill, Natasha Patterson, Ford Reilly and Archie Reilly.
Mike had an over fifty-year career and service as a licensed Pharmacist and made many contributions to the profession of pharmacy. Mike as also had multiple other successful business ventures in his distinguished work career.
In his retirement, Mike loved to play golf, dancing, singing Karaoke, reading novels, going to the movies and traveling the Texas highways with his wife Sandie. He also enjoyed spending free time with his family and friends. He loved and was very proud of his grandkids, fully supporting as many activities as he could attend.
Mike was a proud member of Toastmasters International for the past nine years, giving his last speech three days before his stroke on February 23, 2025. Mike served many positions in Toastmasters including President, Vice President of Public Relations and Sergeant at Arms. He dedicated himself to the service of others and was a mentor to many people. He cared very deeply for his Toastmaster family.
Mike was a kind and caring person who always tried help his fellow men and women and set a good example for his friends and family. He will be missed by us all.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Saint Anthony Marie De Claret Catholic Church, 801 Burleson Street, Kyle, Texas.
Mass will be from 10-11 in the morning followed by the Rite of Committal at the Gravesite, around 11:30 to 12:30, in Memory Lawn Memorial Park, 19106 San Marcos Highway, Martindale, Texas.
A Repast, funeral reception, will follow at Saint Anthony’s Parish Hall. A time for togetherness in which stories and memories can be shared about Mike, and family and friends can find support in one another.
Lunch will be provided at this time in the Parish Hall for Mike’s family and friends. Please RSVP Sandie O’Neill, 737-222-4627, [email protected], no later than April 16, 2025, with the number of those coming to share Mike’s memory.
Flowers may be sent or donations can be dropped in the charity box at the reception to be divided between Mike’s two charities, Saint Anthony’s and Paws.
