Lori R. Roberts

Lori Rae Roberts of Clifton, Texas passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the age of 68 from cancer. In her final days Lori was lovingly cared for by her husband John Goin and the wonderful nursing staff at Sunset Home in Clifton, Texas.

She was born November 11, 1954 in Lynwood, California and graduated from John Glenn High School in Norwalk, California in 1972. For many years Lori worked at Christian schools as a preschool aide and teacher, influencing the lives of children and teaching them about Jesus. Lori received her Associate of Science Degree in Child Development from Chaffey College in 1999, graduating with honors.

Lori loved driving down the back country roads of Texas, exploring new places, family gatherings, antique shopping, and quiet afternoons with her husband and dog Abby. She had a green thumb when it came to gardening, enjoyed feeding the birds, and hung a variety of wind chimes throughout her yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Roberts and Darlene Andersen, along with her niece, Natalie Brown.

Lori is survived by her spouse, John Goin; sisters, Nikki Roberts and Shari Hughes; younger brother, Glen Andersen; her three sons, Kristoffer, Kevin, and David Roberts; eight grandchildren - Sydney Roberts, Carter Roberts, Kaylenn Johnson, Kyle Roberts, Keira Roberts, Cayden Roberts, Maverick Roberts, and Brandon Roberts; one great grandchild, Miles Beckemeyer-Rocha; and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00am at the Chapel at Sunset Home, 1800 West 9th St., Clifton, Texas. The family invites those in attendance to join them for a meal immediately following the service.
