Leo "Bert" Bertice Mitchell, Jr. of Austin, Texas passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the age of 80. He was born on June 2,1943 in El Paso, Texas.
Bert graduated in 1961 from Travis High School in Austin. He worked as a License & Weight Trooper for the Texas Department of Public Safety. He loved to spend his free time hunting and deep sea fishing.
Bert is preceded in death by his parents, Leo Bertice Mitchell, Sr. and Oleta (Towles) Mitchell; brother, Robert Mitchell; sister, Leota Miller; brother, Billie Dale Mitchell; and his daughter, Amy Mitchell.
He is survived by his daughter, Martha Mitchell, and partner, Monnie Deunger.
