Laura Lee Wright Goldenschue passed away after her lifetime fight with Congenital Heart Disease. Preceded in death by her parents, Celeste and John Wright and her Aunt/Sister-Betty Lou Bertrand Heuer & husband Harry, In-laws C.M. “Goldie” & Lena Goldenschue and brother-in-law, Chuck Goldenschue. She is survived by husband Thomas Goldenschue of Liberty Hill TX, son Nathaniel Goldenschue and wife Brandi of Leander TX, sister Leslie Quisenberry, aunt/sister-Debbie Taubert and husband Robert and Uncle Frank Bradley. She also has numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who have surrounded her with love and support during these final days.
Laura grew up in the Dallas area later moving to Aspen, CO after her father’s retirement. She graduated from Aspen High School. She finally settled in the suburbs of Austin TX. After Laura’s father was diagnosed with MS, she and her mom started Musicians for MS. Bringing many artists, along with herself, to perform in venues in downtown Austin to raise money for the MS Society. One of those artists being Ponty Bone, who recently passed away. She later helped start the Congenital Heart Walk, bringing awareness to the Adult Congenital Heart Disease. Her passion was riding motorcycles and she joined the Motor Maids where she travelled and met some lifelong friends. We are so grateful for their love and support. Despite her illness and challenges she was able to accomplish some amazing things. Being able to complete the 4 corners of the US ride as well as visiting nearly every US state on her motorcycle. She logged in over 25K on her motorcycle one year. Something she was very proud of. A special thanks to Dr. Gregory Johnson and his staff and Heart Transplant Team at Seton Medical Center.
