This is not a photo of Joe, it's a photo of my father who bought a beer for Joe, years ago. Joe placed the "Big Assed Beer" bottle on a mantel next to this photo of my dad. This relationship came about after I told dad I'd gotten to know a PJ. Dad said "PJ's never bought their own drinks in bars.  Buy that man a beer for me!" I got to know Joe when I said "You look too young to have been in Laos" and he said "I... like you, and my file says I was in Germany." It was a pleasure knowing Joe, a very kind and soft spoken man who gave his all, and both of his knees, to save pilots lives.

Joe and his wife are the sweetest couple. My deepest condolences to the family and all who will miss him. I will remember his kindness and loving personality.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Joe.  He was such a sweet man.  I met Joe in the breakroom at TWC main building.  I remember such fun times and conversations with Joe and his lovely wife.  Over a short period of time, I looked forward to running into them in the breakroom for some good laughs.  Sending my heartfelt condolences to the family.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My sincere condolences to Joes family.  I am so saddened to hear of his passing.  I would have been at his funeral had I known in time.
Joe is missed.  He was such a smart, funny man.  He was always kind, respectful and willing to lend an ear if needed.  He faced life's challenges head on.  He was always moving forward in a positive way.  It breaks my heart to learn we have lost such a good man here on earth.  I am sure he is up in heaven, watching over all of his loved ones. I recall when he met the love of his life.  How she helped him by creating special recipes she would cook/bake for him. I have many fond memories of Joe.  He was a special treasure to us all.

There are people you meet that leave lasting impressions, YES Joe was #1.   Joe was one that always after talking with him made you feel refreshed and a friend.  Please know that I will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers during this period of grief.  I worked with him and Linda at TWC.

I have found memories of working with Joe Henry at Texas Workforce Commission. While no words or actions can ease the pain from the loss of a loved one, we try to remember the time we had with them.
