John Earnest Fleissner (Johnny) of Dale, TX passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the age of 82. He was born on October 19, 1942 in Houston, TX where he grew up with his parents, Albert and Tommie Fleissner and sister Linda.
John graduated from Smiley High School in 1962. He worked as a telephone technician for Western Electric (aka SW Bell and AT&T), where he retired after 30 years of service.
He was actively involved in wood working and street rodding. He loved to help with the Houston AutoRama. He also enjoyed camping, bbq and spending time with family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Tommie Fleissner. He is survived by his wife Margie Fleissner, daughter Stephanie Fleissner, son and daughter-in-law Brian and Samantha Fleissner, 6 grandsons, 7 great grandchildren, sister Linda Musick, Aunt Joann Eisenhower, sisters-in-law Mitze Wilson Frazier, Melody Luedke, brother-in-law and wife Larry and Sandy Luedke and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and many friends that he considered family.
Johnny met Margie Luedke in Houston, TX. They married June 7, 1963. They were happily married for over 61 years. They raised their family in the Tomball,TX area and retired to Dale,TX in 2007. There are so many stories that could be told but he will be remembered best as a jokester.
The family would like to thank Bridgeway Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days. We would also like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers throughout the past 3 years.
