Jerry Wayne Davis was born on December 23, 1946 in Cleveland, Texas. He was married to his high school sweetheart Pamela Louise (Koym) Davis on January 29, 1966. He was called home by his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ unexpectedly on December 30, 2018 at 5:36pm surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Jewell William Davis, and his mother, Mildred Kathleen (Lay) Davis. He is survived by those he loved most: his wife of nearly 53 years, Pamela Davis; his son, Darrell Davis; his daughter, Christine (Davis) Low; his son-in-law, Thomas Low; his grandson, Cody Low; and his granddaughter, Laven Low.
He was a hard working man who held many jobs throughout his life, with his main career being owner and operator of JR Automotive Services in La Porte, Texas for many years. He loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors, playing his guitar, all electronic gadgets, his pets, and most of all his family…he was so very proud of each and every one of them.
We will be celebrating his life together at noon on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Point Venture Clubhouse (555 Venture Blvd. S., Point Venture, TX. 78645). We miss him terribly, but we will cherish the time we had with him and all of the memories we were blessed to share with him. Until we see you again…we love you so very much!! <3
“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
