Born on December 5, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jimmy moved with his family to California in 1955, which he proudly made his home for most of his life. In recent years, he relocated to New Braunfels, Texas, to be near his family, who lovingly ensured he was supported and cared for in his final years. Jimmy also honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Jimmy was a truly special soul with a deeply spiritual heart. Throughout his life, he drew immense strength from his faith in God. He was a generous spirit, always ready to extend a helping hand or a kind word to ease someone else's path. Jimmy found great joy in the simple pleasures of life; he never owned a car, choosing instead to ride his bicycle everywhere, especially throughout the local neighborhoods and areas he loved so much. His family and friends salute him for a life beautifully lived. May he rest in everlasting peace.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Kenneth R. Tennies and Marcia L. (Rice) Tennies.
He is survived by his loving family, including his siblings: Mary Foreman, Barbara Simpson, Margaret Bauguess, Monica Wiles, Carol Vanderleest, Ken Tennies, and Phil Tennies. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends, including his cherished church community in California, who held a special place in his heart.
