James "Jim" Ambrose Pierce was born on September 21, 1928 in Linwood, PA and passed away on October 8, 2021 in Austin, Texas. Jim was the second son to Herman and Emma Pierce and grew up around Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania. The other siblings were Herman, William, and Warren. He attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he earned a chemical engineering degree. For many years, Jim worked in the oil and gas industry for various large plants across the United States. He served his country, as an officer of the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. His passion was traveling the world and all around the U.S. Jim was a big football, basketball, and baseball enthusiast. He was a people person and loved to tell stories and jokes to anyone who would listen.
