James (Jim aka “Jimmie”) Fristoe, age 81, passed away and was reunited with his loving wife, Judith (Judy), on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Baylor Scott and White in Round Rock, Texas. He was born June 9, 1941, in Brunswick, Missouri to William (Jake) and Constance (Outlaw) Fristoe.
He married Judith “Judy” Bernice (Palmer) on December 29, 1962 in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a SSGT in the United States Air Force, and a Vietnam Veteran. He later became Director of Franchise, and then Owner of his own locations with Mr. Gattis. In his later years, he drove a school bus for the Round Rock Independent School District. His passions were family, jazz music, football, cooking, golf, and laughter. He looked forward to getting out on the golf course with his son, son-in-law, and grand-sons.
His was preceded in death by his parents, William and Constance (Outlaw) Fristoe; his brothers, Keith and William (Billy) Fristoe; grandson, Devan James “DJ” Elijah Fristoe; Brother-in-law, Charles (Bud) and spouse Shirley Palmer; Brother-in-law, James Wilson; and his wife, Judith “Judy” Bernice (Palmer).
He leaves to cherish his memories; Daughter, Deneen (Fristoe) Bouie (Husband, Bernard); Son, Tony Fristoe (Cynthia); Grandchildren, Andre Bouie (Kris), Michael Fristoe (Victoria), Kayla Moreno (Raymond), Jordan Fristoe (Abby), Jada Bouie (Tahj); Great-Grandchildren, Ayanna, James, Marcel, Brooklynn, Jaiden, Amias, Kobe, Zariyah, Jordan “JD”, Iverson “IJ”; Sister, Melba (Fristoe) Brown; Sister-in laws, Cornelia “Connie” Fristoe, Barbara Sue Rogers (Stanley), Missie Wilson, Bette Jo Palmer, Jeanna Kay McKinzie (Stewart), Vickie Lynn Palmer; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly.
