He was preceded in death by his daughter Melody Celeste Albus. He is survived by his wife Marilyn and countless family and friends.
He was an Architect, licensed in 1972 in the State of Texas. He enjoyed several specialties over the years. He designed car dealerships all over Texas and then he started designing Nursing Homes, Assisted Living, and Memory Care Facilities, also all over Texas. He designed over 100 of these facilities since 1996.
He loved Country music and shared that love with his friend, and musician, James Ridge.
He was an avid University of Texas football fan and for 14 years hosted the Texas vs Oklahoma game each year. The event always offered golf cart rides down the mountain for boat rides up and down Lake Austin with music, in the evenings (often provided by James Ridge, or other bands).
A Celebration of Life Event will be planned later in the year or early 2024.
His favorite Quotation was:
"I would rather tell the truth than tell a lie".
"I would rather know than be ignorant".
"I would rather be free than be a slave".
