Isabel Ogardo Lucas, age 74, of Georgetown, Texas, passed into Our Lord's loving embrace on May 17, 2019, at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. Born in Guiuan Samar, Philippines on November 19, 1944, she lived in Manila and Olongopo City before immigrating to the United States in 1974. As a Navy Wife she moved over a dozen times and lived in Mississippi, Virginia, California, Arkansas, and California again, before relocating to Texas in 2013 where she quickly became "Texas Proud",
Isabel married Mark S. Lucas on March 4, 1972. She had a highly successful career in commission sales over the years, but her first job was Navy Wife and was "Sea-momma" to many. She was known to always have a smile, enjoyed road trips to visit family and friends, and never met a stranger that she didn't consider a friend. The love and the light of her kind soul will be forever missed.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Mark, BMC USN (RET); her four daughters Lita (Robert) of San Diego; Maria of Salt Lake City; Emily (Dale) of Monroe; and Regunda (Carlos) of Round Rock. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and a host of beloved extended family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on June 12, 2019 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church at 3201 Sunrise Rd, Round Rock. She will be interred at a Central Texas State Veteran's Cemetery in Killeen, TX at a date to be announced.
