Harry R. Williams, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 27. Harry is survived by his wife Sarah, sons John and Jeff, brother Jim Williams, sisters Patsy Beyer and Marianne Humphrey, daughters-in-law Christie Williams, Shera Williams and Lupita Williams, and eight grandchildren. Preceding Harry in death was another son, James, and sister, Charlene.
A United States Air Force veteran and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, he purchased 2 acres of land in Round Rock in 1977, built a home on the land with his bare hands and raised his family there. Harry was a devoted husband and family man, and was very active in coaching his sons’ sports teams during their youth. Harry was a member of Palm Valley Lutheran church for almost 40 years. A lifelong historian who enjoyed talking about different periods in history, in retirement he most enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren, and keeping up with sports and politics.
Harry will be sorely missed for his humor, hard work ethic and loyalty. His family is thankful to have had him in their lives and for the sacrifices he made for his family.
