George Anne A. Gevik, 87, of Kingsland, TX, died May 12th 2016, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Round Rock, TX, from complications due to stroke. Mrs. Gevik was a St. Louis, MO native. She was born to Lester J. Klasing, Sr. and Sarah Edith Maddox on May 12th, 1929. She graduated, majoring in business, from Southwest High School in 1946, and from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in 1986. She was a housewife, worked as an executive secretary for many years and later as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She enjoyed many various hobbies, was very well spoken, lived many places, enjoyed travel and loved her family. She was saved, baptized and enjoyed serving Christ. A lifelong Baptist and Episcopalian, she converted to Catholicism later in life. George-Anne was widowed and preceded in death by husband, Jerome Gevik, of Kingland, TX, her brother; Lester J. Klasing, Jr. of DeKalb, IL, and her parents; Lester and Sarah Klasing, and Charles R. Miller, former husband and father of her only son, and step-son Gary Gevik. She is survived by her only son and his wife, Jonathan and Diana Miller of Belton, MO, her sister; Joyce H. Palazzolo of St, Louis, MO, nieces; Lisa Knapp and Catherine Wagner, step-children; Greg and Robert Gevik and Ann Hartz; step-grandchildren and great-nephews. George-Anne will be cremated by the Neptune Society and her remains will be with her son, Jonathan. No memorial service will be held, as per George-Anne’s wishes, as she wanted her life to be celebrated individually by those who knew and loved her.
