Gabriel Avery May

He owned and operated Vineyard Bay Automotive for more than ten years, during which time he developed a strong community and many friends. Gabe was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed travelling, hiking in the mountains, playing in the snow with his dogs, hunting, riding his ATV, boating and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his younger brother, John Michael May in 1992

He is survived by his wife, Kristy May; children, Laurel Ann May, Jessica Elaine May, Jonathan Avery May, Nixon Marshall May and Taylor Marie Duncan; grandson, Deluca Ocean Narvaez; granddaughter, Ivy Unger; father, Buddy May; mother, Sarah Roberts; brother, Charley May; sisters, Alexandra Roberts, Sophie Roberts and Julie May; his dogs, Sadie and Mischka; along with multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Gabe’s smile lit up a room, he loved to laugh and found any reason to crack a joke. He always took the time to reach out to his children, ensure that they felt loved, listened to and understood and that they always knew that he had their backs. The hole that his passing has left in his family will be impossible to fill.
