

Frank graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, TX in 1961. He graduated from Tyler Junior College in 1963 and Southern Methodist University in 1965 with a BBA in Accounting. During his career, Frank worked for several oil companies including Shell Oil in New Orleans, Delta Drilling Company in Tyler, and Fina Corporation in Plano in Internal Audit Management.
Throughout much of his life, Frank was influenced by his maternal grandfather, Reverend William Oliver. He grew up with a love for music and played Baritone and Tuba in Junior High, continuing through High School and college years at SMU.
While at TJC in Tyler, he joined the choir at Marvin United Methodist Church. From then on, he was a faithful member of church choirs in all the churches he attended. Frank was known for his stature in the back row of the choir along with his deep and beautiful singing voice.
He loved bicycling, tennis, basketball and enjoyed an active lifestyle. He learned about cameras and photography which was a hobby also enjoyed by his brother and his father. After retirement in Dallas, Frank and Diana moved to Austin, where he proudly trained with the Austin Citizen Police Academy. He volunteered for various organizations including homeless advocacy, the Yellow Bike Project in Austin and he was a supporter of LGBTQ rights within the Methodist Church. Frank was also passionate about the high school class reunions and helped organize events and kept his SOC classmates connected for decades. He loved reading mysteries and spy novels. He and Diana enjoyed traveling to destinations in Europe with the Young at Heart Travel group. Perhaps most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Beck.
Frank is survived by his wife Diana Beal Goodloe of Austin, TX, son Brandon Goodloe and wife Quinn of Austin, TX, daughter Elaine L Goodloe of Lubbock, TX, grandson Beck Goodloe of Golden, CO, brother Roy Goodloe and wife Elaine G. Goodloe of Little Elm, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Oak Hill United Methodist Church, 7815 Hwy-290 W, Austin, TX 78736.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the loving community of Oak Hill, the caregivers at Shady Hollow II Assisted Living, and Hospice Austin.
