

Frank C. Bove passed away on January 24, 2026 at the age of 87. He was born in Philadelphia, PA. where he grew up. He loved to tell stories about growing up in South Philly and his extended family there.
He graduated from Central High School (206th Class) in Philadelphia, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (RPh), Tulane University Medical School (PhD, Pharmacology), and University of Colorado (post doc).
He taught at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and left his mark on a generation of students who have practiced as pharmacists throughout the state of Texas.
He found comfort in his Catholic faith. He was a member of St. John Vianney parish in Round Rock, Texas at the time of his death. Previous church homes included St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Georgetown, TX, St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Houston TX and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Philadelphia, PA.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Annette Bove, cousin Phil Duca and his wife Isabel Duca, Father-in -Law, Richard D. Phebus, and Brother-in-Law Steven D. Phebus, long time friends and coworkers from the University of Houston Bhaggyi Jandhyala, Marie Jandhyala and Ken Euler as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Bove of Georgetown TX; brother Michael Bove (Diana) of West Chester, PA; Brothers-in-Law, Stanley J. Thibodeaux (Cecilia) of Austin TX, David C. Thibodeaux (Teresa) of Marble Falls TX, Andrew J. Phebus (Kathy) of Round Rock TX; Sister-in-law Donna Phebus (Steven) of Leander; Nephews Taylor Phebillo (Kassie) of Round Rock TX, Kevin Phebus (Megan) of Round Rock TX and grand nephew, Jordan Phebillo.
A Rosary and Funeral Mass are pending at St. John Vianney. This information will be added to this notice when arrangements are completed. Interment will be held privately.

A final word from Frank: A duck walked into a store and asked the clerk for lip balm, “put it on my bill!”
Corny yes, but he loved to see the smile that came back.
