Felino Canendo Oballo

He was born on June 1st, 1939 in Carigara, Philippines where they grew up and was the oldest of 7 siblings.

He graduated from the University of Santo Thomas in 1964.

He did his residency in New York City as a surgical resident. He worked at Holy Name Hospital in New Jersey before moving his family to Texas. He began his private surgical practice in Luling, Tx for a year before moving to Gonzales, Texas where he stayed for over 20 years. He finished his practice in Kingsville, Texas and retired in Austin, Tx. He went back to work where he started, Gonzales, Tx. shortly after retirement, but only for 5 years.

They were actively involved in his community and enjoyed playing golf with his friends.

He is preceded in death by his Mother, Julia and his Father, Innocencio Oballo, Sr.

They are survived by his wife Erlinda Oballo and sons, Richard Oballo and Kenneth Oballo, three grandchildren, Ace, Tristan, and Isabella

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church on Monday June 17th, 2024 at 1 pm. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery in South Austin.
