Emerson Kenney Blewett Jr.

Kenney worked for the Volkswagen dealership from 1966 to 1996, starting as a mechanic and ending as Service Manager. His knowledge of VWs was encyclopedic and acknowledged by many in the Austin automotive community.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Hillary Blewett Rudolph, granddaughter Mercy Harper James, and father Emerson “Pete” Blewett, mother Evelyn Emily Zilliox, brother David Louis Blewett, sister Kathleen Blewett Holmes.

He is survived by his wife Cindy Clements Blewett, son Emerson Kenney Blewett III and wife Lori Sanchez Blewett, and grandsons Dalton Beau James, Emerson Kenney Blewett IV, and Evan Lawrence Blewett.

His family was his life. In March he had celebrated 60 years of marriage to beloved wife Cindy. He was immensely proud of family and missed his daughter and granddaughter every day.
