Elsie Ellen Schroeder

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 5th, at 11am at Pecan Grove.

Elsie was born on October 27, 1928 in Oskaloosa, Illinois, the daughter of Carl Stephen and Iva Brown Stipp.

She is survived by her children Carol (Troy) Aarestad of Manteca, California and Don (Becky) Schroeder of Seguin, Texas. Five grandchildren: Candace (Brad) Sandon, Amelia Aarestad, Theron (Angela) Schroeder, Lana (Chase) Newman, & Sara Aarestad, and nine great grandchildren.

Her siblings: Roberta Stipp of Texas, Vernice "Judy" Garner, of Illinois & S. David Stipp of Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louis, her brothers Harold, John, Paul, Hubert, William, Carl & James Stipp & a sister Hannah Whalen.

Elsie was a homemaker & enjoyed cooking, baking, & was an incredible seamstress. Louis & Elsie's home was always open for a meal & a good night's sleep. A mother to many & a friend to all.
