Dovie Marie Kelley, 96, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025. Born on November 5, 1928, in Monticello, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Daphney and Beatrice Wilson. Dovie and her husband, Arvie Clinton Kelley, moved from Arkansas to Houston, Texas, where she worked for many years at and eventually retiring from Baroid/NL Industries. A longtime resident of Marble Falls, TX in her later years, she found joy in bowling, fishing, dancing, and gardening—pastimes that reflected her lively personality and love of life.
Dovie is now reunited with her beloved husband, her parents and her siblings, Scottie Knight, Robert Wilson, and Jerry Wilson. She is survived by her son, Dennis Gary Kelley and wife Donna, and her daughter, Cassandra Kelley Dowell and husband Kenneth.
Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Michael Kelley, Kathryn Nikole Kelley, Clinton Kelley and wife Alisha, Lindsay Burrow, and Kelley Little and husband Scott; and her great-grandchildren: Jake Burrow, Jayden Burrow, and Parker Little.
A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Dovie’s humor, quick wit, and loving personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Dovie’s life will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Marble Falls.
