

Don enjoyed reading mystery books and international spy novels from many authors. His physical activities included tennis and golf. He enjoyed watching financial markets and managed his family financial portfolios.
Don and his siblings, Jonnie Jeff and Raymond Jeff were children of Greek migrants who through tradition, gave their sons middle name, the name of their father. Education and getting good grades in school was stressed by their parents and all three boys did well throughout elementary and high school. Jonnie and Raymond chose to go into medicine, but Don, after being teased by a Radio Shack kit radio, chose Electrical Engineering at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He received a Work Scholarship, (co-op,) from Texas Instruments where he worked one semester and went to school on alternate semesters. He finished college with an Electrical Engineering degree and an MBA. He stayed with Texas Instruments and took a position in the Quality Department in a young semiconductor department for T.I. Don met his future wife, Germanine, in a Sunday School class at Highland Park Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas.
Don became interest in working in T.I.’s international operations and agreed to a position in an early factory start up in Curacao, an island of the Netherland Antilles, off the coast of Venezuela. After that experience, Don spent most of the rest of career working for Texas Instruments and Motorola as an expat in the Semiconductor industry in Asia, Central America and Mexico for more than thirty-five years. Don and Germaine retired in Austin, Texas in 2016. Don was a Gentleman’s Gentleman who would prefer to error on the positive side on any engagement.
Don is survived by son, Jason Jerome in Austin, Texas; a grandson, Logan Jerome in New York, New York; and brother Raymond Jerome in Carolina, Puerto Rico.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jonnie and his loving wife of 60 years, Germaine.
Family Graveside Services will be held at Riverbend Church in Austin, Texas on March 15.
