Deborah is survived by her two children, Burt and Carrie Morton, her granddaughter Evie Howard-Morton, her brother David Kennedy, and her sister, Mary Gall, along with her great nieces and nephews.
Deborah was born to Robert and Vera Kennedy on October 25, 1954 in Lincoln, NE where she attended Lincoln High. Deborah moved to Austin, TX, where she raised her two children and co-operated Morton Concessions with her then husband, Bill Morton. Her family shared the challenging and exciting life of the carnival business. Deborah later returned to university, earning her Bachelors and Masters degrees.
Deborah loved to cook holiday meals and spend time with family. She was deeply interested in nutrition, wellness, and spirituality. She loved to travel, especially to the mountains of Colorado.
Deborah braved a difficult battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Our family is grateful to know that Deborah is finally at peace.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a tribute gift donation in Deborah’s name to CUREPSP (psp.org). Services will be announced at a later date.
Deborah will be forever loved and forever remembered.
