

Deborah met her husband Howard in February 1991 and they married in September 1991. She was a graduate of Sharpstown High School in Houston Texas. After graduating from San Jacinto College with a degree in nursing, she was an OR nurse for 15 years at The Houston Methodist Hospital until 1998 when she devoted her time to raising her 3 daughters. She went back to university to earn a degree in education from the University of Houston.
Deborah enjoyed daily walks, watching sunsets, and traveling to national and state parks. Among her favorite hobbies of cooking and baking, she also enjoyed making scrapbooks for her daughters over the years. She was always crafting and loved decorating for the holidays.
Deborah is survived by her husband Howard Hinze, three daughters Heather Hinze, Emily Hinze, and Katie Hinze, and her sister Jennifer Higgins. She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Norma Higgins, and sister Heather Higgins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse (Operation Heal Our Patriots), Tunnels to Towers, or Restoration Ranch (links to these organizations are listed below).
The family would like to express their gratitude towards all the staff of the Houston Methodist MDA/ALSA ALS Clinic and Hospice Austin.
A memorial service celebrating Deborah will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 2 PM CDT. The service will be held at Lost Pines Bible Church located at 115A Ponderosa Road, Bastrop, Texas, 78602.
