David Neal Helton

David graduated from Denton High School. After high school, he married his sweetheart Martha Robinson Norris. Together, they shared two children, Glen and Laurie.

He worked as a contractor for Texas Instruments and IBM, retiring from AT&T. He loved Volente, Lake Travis and his cowboy boots.

He was preceded in death by his father Earl Felix Helton; mother Mary Lois Helton (Coco); brothers Felix and James; son Glen; and partner Judy Waller.

He is survived by his daughter Laurie Helton (Erin Becnel) and his high school sweetheart, Martha, with whom he was recently reunited.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life to share memories and stories at Beachside Billy’s (16107 FM 2769, Ste A, Volente, Texas) on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm.

Dad, I wouldn’t have missed the dance for anything! I love and miss you. -Laurie
