Daniel Sloan Hitch

Daniel (Dan) Sloan Hitch was born in Sacramento, California on July 9, 1961. He grew up in Portland, Oregon and Austin, Texas. He was a proud member of the 1979 graduating class of John H. Reagan High School. Then he went to work for the Internal Revenue Service. He later spent several years with Golfsmith. And then returned to the IRS for the remainder of his career.

Dan was a dog lover and always had a canine companion. He enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors and liked playing golf and Frisbee golf. He also had a keen interest in airplanes and military history. Dan had a good sense of humor, was a caring person, and was loyal to a few life-long friends in the Austin area. He passed away suddenly at home early Wednesday morning of February 12 at the age of 63. An only child, he was predeceased by both of his parents, Col. Daniel R. Hitch and Ellen Elizabeth (Rouse) Hitch. There is no service planned. Blessed be his memory.
