Charles Maurice Stanford Jr.

Charles Maurice Stanford of Waco, TX passed away on Friday, October 20th, 2023, at the age of 82. He was born on August 26th, 1941, in Waco, TX where he grew up attended Riesel High School. He went on to spend some time in the Marines.

Charles worked as an Over the Road Truck Driver after his time in the Marines and he retired from Truck Driving due to health issues in 1998.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Marie Hinze in 1996. Father, Charles Maurice Stanford in 1989. Brother, Robert Stanford. Sister, Paula Stallard. Wife, Hazel Stanford. Stepdaughter, Renee Thomas.

Charles is survived by his Brother: Tommy (Shirley) Stanford. Sons: Paul (Peggy) Stanford & Mike (Melissa) Stanford. Stepsons: Lonnie Kirkpatrick & DeWayne Williams. Grandchildren: Cohl (Nikki) Stanford, Grace Abigail Stanford, Dustin (Kellie) Stanford, Kortney (Jason) Anderson, Crystal Kirkpatrick, Crystal Williams, Amber Cleavend, Andrea Jones, Rosemary Hanus, Dorothy (Jeffery) Wall, Brittany Eller, Kimberly Sanders as well as several other family members, friends & great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the caregivers & staff at Lakeshore Village Nursing Home as well as Harbor Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Celebration of Life at Oak Grove Baptist Church (in The Grove building) at 614 Oak Grove Loop, China Spring, TX 76633 on Saturday, November 4th from 9 am – 11 am. Come share memories & laughs with us beginning at 9 am. Light breakfast pastries available.
