Carl Allen Beller passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday morning, July 25, 2026. He was a very young looking and active 87 year old gentleman. Carl loved sports, both playing and watching. He still played doubles tennis 3 times a week with a group at the Austin Tennis Center. Curling was a special joy for Carl and a sport he took up after moving to Austin in 2004 and discovering the Lone Star Curling Club.
Carl was born in Harlingen, Tx on February 24, 1939. He attended Harlingen High School and enjoyed playing all sports - football, basketball and baseball. Carl always gave any sport his all. That's the way he lived his life - with full enthusiasm and joy.
Carl attended Texas Chiropractic College and upon graduation joined his father and brother in practice in Harlingen. Carl was a 3rd generation chiropractor. In 1970 he moved to Brownsville, Tx and opened his own practice, retiring in December 1999. Living in Brownsville was a real joy to him and he loved going over to Matamoros, Mexico to have dinners. Carl loved traveling and he and Carol enjoyed many trips to Europe, Colorado, Canada and especially, their post Christmas trips to San Miguel de Allende.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents M. S. and Dorothea Beller and his older brother, Roy Beller. Carl is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Carol Thompson Beller, his son, Brian Beller (Julie), his daughter, Carla Heironimus and his beloved granddaughter, Ava Heironimus.
