Brent was born in Boulder, Colorado on May 11, 1964. After serving in the Navy, he settled for a short time in Florida working in construction. After moving to Austin, Texas. in 1987 he attended bar tending school In 1989 he tragically was in an automobile accident which left him with lifelong injuries including chronic pain and traumatic brain injury. For the next 28 years he lived his life as best he could, loving his cats and family and drinking his Mountain Dew. Brent enjoyed playing Dungeons & Dragons and Chess He also enjoyed watching movies, especially in 3D. He was a big fan of football and Sons of Anarchy - collecting memorabilia through the years.
Brent was well known as the "mayor" of the neighborhood as he knew everyone and always kept a watchful eye on neighborhood happenings.He loved to walk the neighborhood, meeting and chatting with everyone. He didn't know a "stranger".
Brent is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Mier of Orlando, Florida, his mother Diana Messer of Austin, Texas, two sisters, Kristen Messer of Killeen, Tx and Bonny Mier of Dallas., Niece Melissa Sperry and Great Niece Emmalee Sperry both of Austin. He is also survied by many members of his extended family in Colorado, Arizona and Oregon. He was preceded in death by his Father Camille Mier, Jr.
Brent will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held in his memory on July 28th from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at 12301 B Patron Dr, Austin, TX. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Central Texas Dachschund Rescue.
