Walter R Duerr

Walter Rudolph Duerr, 81, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on February 1, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1942, in Vienna, Austria. Walter was a larger than life personality who loved to tell jokes and stories.

Walter is survived by his beloved wife, Astrid Duerr, his son Marcus Duerr, his daughter-in-law Bruna Duerr, his daughter Veronika Daniels, his son-in-law Sean Daniels, and his granddaughters Camila, Julia, and Vivien. He is also survived by his cousins Rolf Duerr, Finn Duerr, and Eirik Duerr.

Walter spent his entire career in the freight forwarding business, where he proved himself to be an accomplished salesman time and time again, bringing success to each company he worked for.

An open house memorial is planned for Sunday, February 11th, from 1-5 at the Duerr’s Marietta home. Family and friends are invited to share stories and remembrances of Walter at 3pm during the memorial.
