Stanley Eric Johnson was born on November 28, 1970, to Roosevelt and Betty Johnson in Miami-Dade County, FL. Stanley was the youngest of seven children born to his parents. He spent his childhood in the family home in Naranja, FL, where he attended Naranja Elementary, Redland Middle and South Dade High Schools. Stanley attended Albany State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, but he was also known as an award winning offensive lineman (#74) for the ASU Golden Rams football team. After graduating, Stanley taught at Bay Point Schools and Southern Glades Youth Academy, both of which specialized in educating youth-offenders in Miami, FL. He later pursued a career in law enforcement and served as a police officer, most recently serving at Georgia State University and MARTA Police Departments in Atlanta, GA. While working at Georgia State University, he met the love of his life, Anya Dawkins, and they married in May of 2007. Stanley accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. As a child, he served as an usher at Morningstar Baptist Church in Princeton, FL; and in recent years, he served as a Deacon at Impact Worship Center in Mableton, GA. On the morning of Saturday, October 28, 2017, Stanley was peacefully called home and is now present with the Lord. Stanley was preceded in death by his father, Roosevelt Jr., and leaves behind his loving wife, Anya; his mother, Betty; his six siblings, Rutha, Mary, Geraldine, Anthony, Roosevelt III and Valerie; 8 nephews; 4 nieces; 4 great-nieces; a great-nephew; and a host of in-laws and countless extended family and friends.
