I extend my thoughts and condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. I don't personally know Mr. Robert Scheibe, but I am familiar with his daughter, Mrs. Debbie Stunkard. After listening to the stories about Mr. Scheibe during his celebration of life, I realized that Ms. Debbie embodies her father's kindness and empathy towards others. On one occasion, she spent 3.5 hours trimming my backyard tree with a chainsaw, and during the holidays, she invited me to her home knowing that I had no family in Florida. Moreover, when I was involved in a car accident, she offered to drive me. Mr. Scheibe's legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He taught his family to be generous, kind, and compassionate towards their fellow human beings, and his family will continue to carry on that legacy.  You are in my prayers. Betty Torres.

At age 16 Robert drove the staton wagon to pick up children and infants for the family day nursery. No seatbelts or car seats in those days. Older children held the infants.

I was 16 and trying to win the affections of Mr. Scheibe's daughter.  I was at Camp Kulaqua when a bunch of Debbie's fellow Pathfinders said that Mr. Scheibe was coming to Camp Kulaqua and I better watch myself around Debbie as Mr. Scheibe is very strict and can be a little mean.  That evening Mr. Scheibe showed up for the Pathfinder program in a judge's black robe.  He put the Sabbath on trial and dismissed every Pathfinder that tried to defend the Sabbath until one Pathfinder told him to shut up and listen.  Then his true colors came out.  He had to chuckle out loud and then get back to his performance.  Mr. Scheibe has proved over and over again throughout his years that, although he may have had a strong opinion about some things, he was loving, patient, up-beat, supportive when family did wrong, and there to bail us all out of our predicaments.  He was a great father to all of his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids; and also to those who married into the family.

So many great memories with Uncle Robert. Weeks at the lake house in Florida as a kid. Him flying me and my brother from Columbia to Jacksonville in his plane. And most recently, hiking the Appalachian Trail for a week with Debbie as he provided support, encouragement, and trail treats for all the hikers.  They called him Energizer Bunny for a reason.

In loving memory of my best friend and a true God-fearing man like any other. He is, was and always will be a true best friend. Mr Robert will always hold a special place in my heart as does Mrs Mary. I will never forget either one of you. The love I feel for you both there is no words to describe. My heart overflows with memories that will never be forgotten or replaced. You and Mary have been a blessing in so many ways to my wife and I. I will always love you both Robert my best friend a man could have, a mentor ,a brother .I love you forever more,You are my extra dad .I will carry on with you by my side in spirit, as i carry on helping out here on your place .My guardian angel. I love you

There are too many fond memories of Pops. There's nothing to describe the feeling that I have for him as a great man of God, neighbor ,a pops and all around great person. My heart rejoices that he is alive in heaven and that one day we will meet again. You all have been such a blessing in our lives beyond imaginable. Thank each of you for allowing us to have the journey with y'all in such a way that our hearts just cannot explain. We laugh, we cry, we love, we cherish Robert forevermore and through eternity. He is forever etched in our hearts forever and a day. It is a privilege to have called him my pops ,he filled a place as a father in my heart and my life where my father had already went to heaven. I cherish every minute that I have had with him he saved me in so many ways I never thought was possible. love each and every one of you and I am deeply sorrowful for your loss but also rejoice that he is with Jesus. Thank you truly for sharing such a great man with me and giving me an extra family to love and that loves me as I am. We are intertwined and woven together by God's grace and by the love of one man Robert. For it was meant for us to meet over 15 years ago at that little house I once called home on Mount Pleasant Road. It has been a joyous time in my life and I will cherish every moment and every memory. I love you all

For twenty six years you were a part of my life and I will always be thankful for the love that you shared. 

You are now truly “Super Fantastically Wonderful” with our lord and savior.
