Robert Dexter Kenyon, Jr., age 99 of Marietta, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 22, 1921. He had trusted Christ as his personal Savior and is now safely with God in Heaven.
As a member of the greatest generation, he enlisted in the US Army at the beginning of WW II, served in the South Pacific and returned home at the end of the war, with his beautiful New Zealand bride. Bob spent most of his career as a broker in the cow hide business in various parts of the mid-west, and returned home to Massachusetts thereafter.
Mr. Kenyon was preceded in death by his parents Robert D and Sybil Kenyon, his daughter Suzanne Jayne Clark, and all of his siblings. He is survived by his daughter Judith K. Cushman (G. Scott), his son-in-law John P. Clark, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.
There will be a memorial service for Bob in the chapel at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church on Thursday, June 24 at 3 pm.
