Ray Weaver

RAY WEAVER, 84, of Greensboro GA was honored and blessed to pass away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Gale D. Weaver of Greensboro, his daughters: Donna Lynn Weaver, Loganville, GA & Carol Ann Weaver, Stone Mountain, GA A graduate of Newnan High, Newnan, GA. He was all state baseball & all region football & played both sports while attending West Georgia College. He was also elected a “Superlative” at West GA. He graduated from the University of Georgia while working on “the line” at Lakewood GM plant. He worked his way “up” eventually retiring as a General Superintendent supervising 2500 people. Ray lived life boldly, with zest, & a contagious smile! After retiring when queried about “what does Ray do?” The answer was “whatever he wants”! Mostly golfing, fishing, playing poker with the guys, Black Jack in Vegas, Concerts, walks on the beach, hugging his dogs, watching Westerns & Andy Griffith & playing Texas Hold ‘Em competitively! He was kind & generous. A Memorial Service shall be held 11 am Friday, April 21st at Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church on Scott Road, Eatonton, GA.
