I was a student of Dr. Nancy Mims at West Georgia State University. She was an extremely kind person and while I was a graduate student became friends/stayed in contact. She was helpful when I attended school. While I attended class weekly, we emailed frequently over the years and stayed in touch. The last email was that she was having health issues. I will miss her dearly and feel she was important in developing me into a better educator.

I have known Nancy Griffin Mims for many years through our Daughters of the American Revolution membership (Abraham Baldwin Chapter - Carrollton, GA) and I have always been impressed with her leadership and dedication to education and patriotism.  She has been a mentor for many and led by example showing kindness and generosity.  She will be missed by her many friends in DAR.
