Max Moroz, age 91, of Marietta, passed away peacefully in Dallas, Georgia on March 30, 2023. He is survived by his four sons, Steven of Rome, Italy, George of Lexington, SC, John of Lexington, SC and Ross of Dallas, GA, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great, great granddaughter, two nieces and two nephews.
Max was born in Mogadore, Ohio to George and Susan Moroz. He graduated from Tuscon, AZ High School and the University of Arizona, and was commissioned in the U.S. Army. He earned a masters degree from the University of Southern California. Max served for 20 years in the Army including two tours as a pilot in Vietnam. He was the Senior Army Instructor at Campbell High School in Smyrna, GA for four years. He then worked for the Department of Defense for 15 years.
Max was a volunteer youth probation officer in Cobb County. He volunteered with Kennestone Hospital hospice for over 20 years.
Max enjoyed woodworking, cooking, reading and he travelled extensively.
Max’s ashes will be interred at the Georgia National Cemetery.
