Marilyn Kay Korol

Marilyn Kay Putnam Korol, mother to Alana Korol-Tisland and Debra Korol, and grandmother to Skyler Tisland and Spencer Tisland, passed away at 3:55pm on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, after a long battle with renal failure & congestive heart failure. Her final moments were spent peacefully in hospice in Cumming, GA, surrounded by her daughter Debra and close friends.

Known for her laugh, positivity and love of nursing, Marilyn will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Daniel. She is survived by her daughters, her grandsons, her best friend of 70 years, Carol McBride, chosen family, and her beloved grandpup, Lady Jane.

Private remembrance events will be held in Alpharetta, GA & Chattanooga, TN, dates forthcoming. Flowers and memorial gifts are welcome but not necessary.
