James Cox Jr, 65, of Box Springs, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, after a long struggle of various health complications. Born April 16, 1951, he was the son of the late James Cox Sr, and Catherine Cox. James served in the US Navy, and drove truck for many years with Watkins Motor Lines, Brown Transportation, Burnham Van lines, and Vaughan trucking. James was a self-made, proud, and humble man. He lived his life to serve the Lord. His interests and his greatest loves were his deceased wife Clara, his family, and his friends. Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. James was a good man. He was son, a father, a brother, a grandfather, and a friend to many. A good man is a saved man, a good man is a God-fearing man, a good man is a student of the scriptures, a good man loves thy word, a good man obeys thy word, a good man is a man of prayer, a good man is a man of which whom wins souls, a good man provides for himself and his family, a good man is humble, and a good man waits on God. James shared his goodness throughout his life here on earth with everyone who knew him. He was the type of person who would do anything for others and loved to give advice. Always lending a hand to help, an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, but more importantly, he shared his heart with everyone he came in contact with. A memorial service will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM.
