August 28, 1935- February 25, 2021
Dwight Keith went into the arms of his loving Lord Jesus on Feb. 25, 2021, after 85 years on Earth. His passions were his family, his Savior Jesus Christ, and his beloved South Carolina Gamecocks.
Born in Atlanta, Dwight was the only son to Dwight Taylor Keith and Randa Rasco Keith, and brother “Brev” to CaroLita Cantrell. Married for 57 loving years to his sweetheart, Judy Bryant Keith, he leaves behind three children: Lisa Groover, Dwight Jr. and Kevin. He was Pop Pop to his grandchildren Eric Keith, Kristen Green, Jennifer Maciuszek, and ‘Papa’ to his grandkids, Caleb Groover, Eli Groover, Noah Keith, Jonah Keith and Grace Keith. He was a great grandad to Charliegh Groover, Urijah Groover and Amelia Keith.
Dwight graduated from Baylor High School in 1954 and continued on to the University of South Carolina, where he lettered in football from 1955-1958. Dwight was a tri-captain on the 1958 team, which finished 7-3 while beating nationally ranked Duke, Georgia, Wake Forest and “that team from the upstate”, Clemson.
After graduation, Dwight founded his own successful business in Atlanta, Keith Plaques, which he led for 25 years. He turned this business over to his best friend of 70+ years, Don Allen, so he was free to pursue a life in the ministry of Jesus Christ through Dwight Keith Ministries.
Through the founding of Dwight Keith Ministries, he established Wednesday Warriors, a full- gospel group of men who have met regularly for more than 25 years. Dwight, along with the powerful, faith-filled men of this group, led an untold amount of believers to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Always the first to show up for those needing prayer, counseling or healing, Dwight made himself available to all -- any time, anywhere.
Dwight’s desire was for the Wednesday Warriors to not only continue, but to thrive. As such, in lieu of flowers, tax deductible donations can be made to:
