I had the honor of working with Debbie at HTMS. She had a passion for helping children learn and grow.  After she retired I loved watching her come through the car line to pick up her beloved grandchildren. Dedicated wife, mom, grandmother, and teacher.

Debbie was a friend I shared so many fun times with. We were clarinet band buddies in high school. I spent a lot of time in the Talerico home & felt so welcomed there. We lost touch through the years but I never forgot my friend & the times we shared. I know you have lost someone very special as I know the special friend she was to me. Remembering you in thoughts & prayer.

Dear Family,
My heartfelt condolences to your family. I worked with Debbie at HTMS. I was very excited when Debbie moved from 7th grade to 6th grade to be a part of the 6th grade special education team with me! Debbie was an amazing educator, a sweet friend, and a wonderful co-worker. Despite all of the paperwork, Debbie and I had a ton of fun working together and she was incredibly talented at getting it all done in an organized, timely manner.
Debbie would leave work right after school to go home for dinner with her husband (I was always so impressed by that) and then would work late into the night after she spent time with her family.
Debbie loved her family and it was evident in the way she spoke of her family and the soft spot she had for her grandchildren! She just glowed each time she mentioned their names.
I learned a lot working with Debbie and am grateful for the time she was my teammate! She was one of the best!
I hope many happy memories provide comfort during this difficult time.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  I taught with Debbie many years ago.  She was always so sweet to me.  I know  she is now with the Lord.

I team taught with Debbie in 6th grade at Hightower.  I’ll never forget the year I roped her into team teaching math with me and she agreed only if I team taught reading with her.  We had so much fun that year.   There were lots of laughs.   We spent years teaching together and discussing our children as they grew up.   She always lit up when talking about them.   A couple of years ago we reconnected when we texted to discuss grand children and what a joy they were.  I hate that we lost touch. She was such a special lady.

Debbie and I worked together at Hightower for many years. She was never in the classroom with me, but we bonded over our shared love of Fridays. We would seek each other out to be sure to wish each other a happy Friday every week!

I remember how thrilled she was after she and Gary took their first cruise. She had such a wonderful time, and I hope there were many more in retirement.

Finally, I remember how much she adored her children and grandchildren.  She talked about leaving flour Santa footprints around the house on Christmas Eve.  What an incredible mom!
