David B. Gagnon

David B. Gagnon, 77, a distinguished Air Force veteran, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully in his Dacula home on December 12th amongst his family.

David was born in South Amboy, New Jersey and raised in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. After marrying the love of his life and touring Europe with the Air Force David and his family settled in Sumter, SC. David relocated to Georgia in the early 90s. He retired from Verizon after 24 years of valuable service.

David was a decorated veteran, avid sportsman, gifted woodworking craftsman and a very spiritual man. His warm and loving spirit will be missed by all.

David was predeceased by his daughter, Lorraine, sister Patricia, and brothers Francis and George. He leaves behind his loving wife of 59 years, Helen, sons David B. Gagnon II and his wife Maria of High Ridge, MO, Daniel J. Gagnon and his wife Laura of Maryville, TN, Christopher P. Gagnon of Lilburn, GA, brother-in-law John E. Harry of Winder, GA and sister Monica Check of Englewood, FL. David was also an adoring grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as dozens of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 25 Wilkins Road, Winder, GA 30680 on Saturday, December 22nd at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the family at the memorial mass to defray David’s final expenses.
