Barbara Elizabeth Durrin, age 85, originally from Cambridge, NY passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in Ellijay, GA. Barbara was born September 14, 1934 in Bronx, NY. Barbara spent many years being a snowbird with her late husband, Robert Leonard Durrin, in Bradenton, FL. Barbara made Bradenton her permeant home in 2010 until she relocated to Ellijay, GA with her son, Robert Leonard Durrin II in 2018. Barbara is predeceased by her husband Robert L. Durrin and her daughter, Pamela L. Danio. Barbara is survived by her son, Robert L. Durrin II (JoAn), her daughter, Kim A. Durrin, eight grandchildren, Nathan Durrin (Janet), Danielle Danio Garcia (Cristian), Joshua Durrin (Anne), Teil Durrin, Dustin Wolff, Cheyenne Wolff, Mason Durrin and Gibson Durrin; and eight great grandchildren.
Barbara was full of life and enjoyed acting, painting, making jewelry, sketching, costuming plays, gardening, making doll house miniatures and dancing to name a few. Barbara was in the very first play performed at the Fort Salam Therater, and continued to not only perform in the plays, but also costume the entire production. She also helped costume plays at North Adams State College, Cohoes Music Hall and Cambridge Central High School. Barbara and her late husband lived at Trailer Estates in Bradenton, FL where the really enjoyed the retired life. You would find them spending time with friends, attending the many activities offered in their community, enjoying the beautiful beaches, learning new hobbies and taking the golf cart down to watch the sunset at the beach within their park.
