Patricia Lynne Costa

Patricia Lynne Costa, 88 of Morro Bay passed away on December 5th at the French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo. Patricia, the youngest of two children, was born in Lemoore, CA to John and Margaret Morgan on February 17, 1937.

Patricia graduated from Lemoore High School in 1955 and after high school she married and stayed very busy raising a family. Patricia also worked as a Receptionist for a Chiropractor in Morro Bay for many years. Later in life Patricia gave back by volunteering at the Saint Agnes Medical Center and at The People’s Church in Fresno, CA. Her faith was a very important part of her life and she enjoyed reading the bible and attending bible studies. Patricia also loved painting, traveling and spending time with her family.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joe Costa III, her three daughters, one son; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Soares and her brother Don Morgan.

The family would like to thank SLO Hospice, specifically Danielle Brooks and Kim Chartrand for their care and compassion over this last year. We would also like to thank the nurses at French Hospital for the excellent care they provided our mom during her final days.

A Mass has been set for January 3, 2026 at 5:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 360 Park Ave, Cayucos, CA. A graveside service will be held on March 6, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Cayucos-Morro Bay Cemetery, 2451 Ocean Blvd, Cayucos, CA
