Lance Maurice Erickson

Lance was born in Jamestown, New York, December 2, 1948 to Conrad and Isabelle Erickson. He attended James town High School prior to enlisting in the United States Navy in 1965, serving on the USS Ticonderoga in Vietnam.

In 1968, Lance was honorable discharged and pursued a 32-year career with the California Highway Patrol. During this time, he rode motors, was promoted to sergeant, and worked a wide range of assignments, such a public affairs, antiterrorism, auto theft investigations, and commercial vehicle enforcement.

Retired in 2002 from the CHP Coastal Division, Lance reinvented himself as a winemaker. His own Shiloh Ridge Winery won numerous awards on the Central Coast.

Lance was also a member of the Masons and American Legion but found his heart helping others by joining the Benevolent Order of The Elks. He became Exalted Ruler of the Atascadero Lege in 2007 and was the President of the California Hawaii Els Association for 2016-2017
